Willie Cauley-Stein is a basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association.
Raised in Olathe, KS, Cauley-Stein attended Olathe Northwest High School. Cauley-Stein committed to the University of Kentucky in October of 2011.
During his junior year, Cauley-Stein lead Kentucky to a perfect regular season record (31-0) and an appearance in the 2015 Final Four. Following the season, Cauley-Stein declared for the 2015 NBA Draft.
In April 2015, Cauley-Stein signed with Roc Nation Sports ahead of the 2015 NBA Draft.
Cauley-Stein was drafted sixth overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings.
Off the hardwood, Cauley-Stein is also known for his fashion-forward style and strong advocate for philanthropy. His pre-Draft “Team Blake” tattoo honors a 9-year-old friend who lost a battle with cancer. Since then Cauley-Stein has helped design a collection of custom watches in which their proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society in Blake’s honor.
